Beginners courses

Our beginners’ courses run over two weekends and are designed to teach beginners how to shoot a recurve bow safely. Our friendly sessions are in small groups (maximum of 6 archers). One session is in a hall from 10 am – 2:30 pm on Sunday. The next session is at our club on Saturday from 10 am until 12:30 pm with a chance to shoot alongside club members and see different types of bows. Attendees need to commit to both sessions.

Our friendly team of coaches will ensure you are safe and confident using your bow whilst shooting targets and balloons :). There is a chance to undertake an award at the end of the course with a badge to add to your quiver! 

After completing the course you will have the necessary skills to shoot a recurve bow safely and may be able to join Netherhall Archers. Contact us below for details of the next course.

*Please note that juniors will need a parent to attend the course and accompany them for the duration of the session.
